The Paisley Fund was established in April 2019 to honor this sweet girl for her courage and strength to fight the evil of distemper that tried to take her life. With the love and dedication of her foster mom, she fought hard and won! Paisley was a distemper survivor!
Her survival and the blood, sweat, and tears put into her by the rescue and her foster mom are what dog rescue is all about. It’s through the love and commitment of rescues and their volunteers that give these homeless dogs, by no fault of their own, a chance for a better life, a ‘new beginning’.
There is a cost, however, to operating a rescue and we are financed soley by donations from YOU! Funds are critically low and we need YOUR help to keep the rescue going so that we can continue to help more dogs find their forever homes.
All donations go toward the vetting, food, housing, and the overall care of each dog we take in. Unfortunately, we do get dogs with serious medical needs and that takes money. We don’t turn away a dog because of age or health.
Please help us continue the work we do for these dogs and
They need us but WE NEED YOU!

“Research has demonstrated that overvaccination can cause harmful adverse effects in dogs. Immunologically, the rabies vaccine is the most potent of the veterinary vaccines and associated with significant adverse reactions such as polyneuropathy resulting in muscular atrophy, inhibition or interruption of neuronal control of tissue and organ function, incoordination, and weakness, auto-immune hemolytic anemia, autoimmune diseases affecting the thyroid, joints, blood, eyes, skin, kidney, liver, bowel and central nervous system; anaphylactic shock; aggression; seizures; epilepsy; and fibrosarcomas at injection sites are all linked to the rabies vaccine.” READ MORE HERE
Enlightened veterinarians and pet parents have become increasingly wary of the health risks, and lack of benefits, associated with repeatedly vaccinating dogs after their initial “puppy shots.”
A titer test is a laboratory test measuring the existence and level of antibodies to disease in blood.
Most experts believe strong titers are a more reliable indication of immunity than vaccination: tests show the actual immune response, not just the attempt to cause an immune response by vaccination.
